El lugar me encanta, la comida y la bebida magníficas. Pero lo mejor de todo fue nuestro mesero Jhoan, muy atento y amable J Wade2025-02-04 **edit. I came back for my birthday with friends because I loved it so much. Sadly, I ordered octopus tacos and they were covered in ranch dressing. I do not eat ranch dressing, tacos should not have ranch dressing, and the menu does not say they have ranch dressing, so I tried to send them back. The waitress, however, refused to take them. She said the owner makes them pay for any orders that are sent back and she simply refused. She was fine with me eating something I hated on my birthday. And I only somewhat blame her, because why is the owner charging hourly workers for food complaints? Luckily my friend paid for the failed order (which no one ate) and I paid for the corrected order. That was probably my last time going to Pura Vida. Reyanna Innis2025-02-02 I sat at the bar and my bartender was Mireira Arevalo aka Mimi she was bomb 10/10 definitely will be back to see my girl Victoria Thompson2025-02-02 I had a party of 9 visit here on Saturday evening. We walked in and was immediately stunned by the atmosphere. The place was decorated beautifully, nice seating areas, lots of places for picture opportunities, and enough space for my party of 9. The staff was polite, but our server did not speak much English, this caused a small communication barrier when asking questions about the menu. Our food came out fast. We did send the fries back to be cooked some more. The sushi rolls were about 5/10. This is not where you should order sushi. Everyone ordered a variety of things, including the salmon, and chicken entree. Our children liked the Wings, and the Salmon was cooked to perfection. We were not happy with the other meals. We ordered Pina Coladas and Mimosas, these were good. We had already been told to stay away from the margaritas. Keep in mind you are paying for the atmosphere, and decorative plates, the food is not superb. This place does have a lot of potential. Joanna Escobar2025-02-02 0/10 I’ve been so optimistic and given this place 4 tries and every time it’s been the worst! Waiting over 30+ mins for a server, not getting severed at all, the worst juiciest drinks, no acknowledgment, and literally no one dances. It’s truly the lamest place. Tasheika Smith2025-02-01 Fernanda has a Great customer service, she was professional, polite and welcoming. The foods were served on time and were delicious. I will Definitely be coming back soon. Shanda Sed2025-01-28 Dine in | Dinner | $20–30 The food was great 👍🏽. We only had to wait like 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. It'll be nice if that like a waiting area before being seated. I like the atmosphere. They did play the same songs over and over especially usher In the club. I think they were just using like YouTube or something. But overall great restaurant. Food: 5/5 | Service: Zay McCullough2025-01-26 I arrived here around 7:35pm on a Friday evening to meet friends for dinner and drinks. My party was 4 people. 2/3 of my friends were already there. This was the first visit for 3/4 of us. The atmosphere was great. I loved the decor and music. At 7:41pm, a waitress, Fernanda, came over with waters. At 7:44pm, i ordered a strawberry lemon drop with sugar rim ($10). Two friends got a peach margaritas. The margaritas arrived at 7:49pm and they enjoyed it. My lemon drop came at 7:52pm. The strawberry was overpowering the lemon flavor and couldn’t taste the alcohol. At 7:53pm, I ordered a beef empanada and lemon pepper wings. I received them around 8pm, which was surprisingly quick. My friends ordered at 8:12pm. One got wings and an empanada, one got the salmon entree, and the other got the lamb chops. I ordered a mango margarita at this time which I received at 8:18pm. The mango margarita was great! I highly recommend the margaritas. My friends received their entrees came at 8:31pm. My friend said the lamb chops were “pretty flavorful.” They added, “The lamb chops are tender; the cream sauce is what’s making it.” My friend who got the salmon said: “I think the salmon are very well prepared; the potatoes are standard box potatoes.” She added “they didn’t give me my other vegetables, but it’s good though.” I tasted the salmon and it was unseasoned but cooked well. Another friend tried the salmon too and said it was “bland”. It comes with Alfredo sauce but it wasn’t enough to mask the unseasoned salmon. Both friends got broccoli with their entrees and they said it was “top notch”. One friend got lemon pepper wings and said they were salt and I agree. It was too seasoned. I got another beef empanada around 8:35pm. It took about 10 minutes. It was HOT and fresh; as delicious as the first one. I noticed that the same person brought out the food for what seemed like everyone in the restaurant. He was extremely friendly and nice. There were a few people who were celebrating their birthdays that night. When the singing came, the music got extremely loud and turned to hip hop. They have an upstairs area. I’m not sure how large the area is. When the bill came, i noticed they charge extra if you pay with a card. They do take Apple Pay with the card reader. One of my friends and I paid via that method. They only have one device to pay via Apple Pay, so you may have a wait if using that method. Overall, it was a good experience. I was a little hesitant when my friends suggested this place due to what I had heard and reading some of the reviews noting long wait for ordered items, carefree staff, and lackluster food. The appetizers were reasonably priced. Some of the entrees are a little pricey. Food orders were accurate and prompt. I will note that it did get busy as we were leaving a little after 9pm. They do note on the menu that all orders are final. I’d be cautious about what you order. Menu also notes 15% gratuity charge for parties 6 or larger and a $5 split check fee. Allissa Broxton2025-01-26 Fernanda was AMAZING!!! I love her so much, she glows an incredible vibe and I can’t wait for her to take care of us again but the other staff was still just as excited to take care of us and carry the vibe, which the music was also spot on. Definitely our new spot.
